Registration will begin on February 1, 2020 on this site. Participants that register before March 31, 2020 will receive an early registration discount. Regular pricing will begin on April 1 and late registration will begin on April 16, 2020. We will also host an open house on March 29, 2020 from 2 to 4pm and will have swimsuits samples available for sizing.
Practice starts mid-May each year and is held Monday through Friday. Swim meets are held on a single weeknight beginning the last week in May / first week in June. Teams are assigned their day of the week for swim meets in mid-March each year. Teams generally receive 5 meets or 4 meets with one 'bye' week. Swim meets are always held Monday through Thursday - never Friday or weekends (unless forced to make-up a rain-out). This will be communicated as soon as it is known.
Please email the swim team Coordinator at camdenpointeswim@gmail.com if you would like to be added to our mailing list or need information before registration begins.
Camden Pointe offers 2 options for swimmers:
1. Competitive Swimming - These swimmers practice every weekday including Fridays. Athletes can enter a maximum of 5 events per swim meet - 3 individual and 2 relays. There are no guarantees on the number of events a swimmer will be assigned, but we try to shoot for a minimum of 3. To be entered in races, young swimmers must be able to complete a single length of freestyle and backstroke (25 yards) without assistance and within one minute and thirty seconds. Swimmers 5 and up may register as competitive swimmers.
2. Rookie Group - Swimmers from 4 years of age to 6 can join this group and practice 4 days a week. This a learn to swim group with no experience required. We hold a Rookie League race at the end of the season. This race is intra-squad and just for fun - everyone gets a blue ribbon for racing! We keep a low coach to swimmer ratio for maximum learning and safety. (In the race, coaches walk down the pool with the swimmer and hold them if necessary).
